MEET MARIELL LEHMAN

An Experienced Advocate for Justice

Mariell Lehman has dedicated her career to serving the people of Macomb County. A longtime resident and experienced trial attorney, she understands firsthand how judicial decisions affect individuals, families, and the broader community. Her commitment to public service is rooted in lived experience and a belief that justice must be fair, impartial, and accessible to everyone.

Raised by a single mother and inspired early by the justice system, Mariell worked her way through school, earning her undergraduate degree with honors from the University of Michigan and her Juris Doctor from Thomas M. Cooley Law School. She passed the bar on her first attempt and went on to build a distinguished career as a trial attorney handling cases ranging from civil matters to the most serious felony offenses, including homicide and life-maximum cases. She has tried cases throughout Macomb County and Southeast Michigan and has argued before the Michigan Court of Appeals.

Mariell’s experience in district and circuit treatment courts has given her a practical understanding of public safety, rehabilitation, and the importance of individualized justice. In addition to her legal practice, she has served as President of the Macomb Community Drug Courts, taught continuing legal education, and volunteered with numerous community organizations. Mariell lives in Macomb Township with her husband and two children and is proud to serve the community she calls home.
